The Lord graciously gave me a wonderful Christian home growing up. My parents always taught me to respectfully fear the Lord and follow Christ for the wisest investment of my life. One night when I was 10, after hearing a powerful message on the reality of an eternal, tormenting Hell, I placed my faith in Christ and His finished work on Calvary to save me from my sin.
When I was in college, our school took a Christmas love offering to send Bibles to the field of Russia, whose door had recently been opened to the Gospel. Through this the Lord began to plant the seeds of burden and open my eyes to the great need those precious folks has for Christ. Some years later, when I was in my prayer closet seeking the Lord's sweet peace (Col.3:15), God made His will for my family very clear and strongly impressed on my heart that there is a ministry waiting for us in the former Soviet Union.
